Advent Bazilika, St. Stephen's Basilica

Fair on the square in front of St. Stephen's Basilica with around 150 exhibitors over roughly 45 days. A light net covers the square and a Christmas tree of nearly 12 metres stands in front of the basilica. A light projection (fényfestés) is shown on the basilica facade in the evenings, from about 17:30, with concerts on the stage on selected days.

What to eat and drink here

Food courts serve mulled wine, punch, chimney cake, lángos, stuffed cabbage, sausage with bread and mustard, stews and Hungarian pastries. 2025 prices: mulled wine about 1,500 HUF, lángos about 2,500 HUF plain and 2,900 HUF with cheese and sour cream, chimney cake 3,300–3,900 HUF, larger meat dishes 6,700–8,300 HUF; every main kitchen offered one dish at a fixed 1,600 HUF.
